Medical device maker Endo Health Solutions has agreed to pay $830 million to resolve the majority of the transvaginal mesh lawsuits filed against its American Medical Systems subsidiary, an agreement made just one day after the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced its decision to reclassify all surgical mesh products as high-risk medical devices.
